Minecraft@home - Loneliest Seed v1.08
- Détails
I know it's been a bit, life gets in the way sometimes. However, I've released v1.08 of the Loneliest Seed project which aims to address the checkpointing issue.
We're experimenting with a CPU project separate from this as well, so stay tuned for that! If the experiments go well on our end we're anticipating launching a CPU app that will aid us in our years-long research into finding methods of reversing PRNG states in the Xoroshiro128++ algorithm.
Best regards,
Minecraft@Home Team

ODLK1 - Change of IP address

This action needs even to reconfigure the farm firewalls and some network devices and even to change the DNS record (that needs some time to propagate). So the server can stay even disconnected from network during this change.
For this, you should calculate that in all 21/03/2025 the server will be "not reachable", and it should start to be ready during the 22/03/2025 day.
Maybe it could happen that you should detach and then reattach to the project after the ip changes as some boinc client could not detect the change itself.
So, just calculate it you want to crunch other projects during 21/3/25 to be sure to not experiment issue in the server changes.
Thanks
